The IX edition of the Italian Forum on Earth Sciences "Geosciences for Society" will be held in Pisa, September 16-18, 2013.

 The IX edition of the Italian Forum on Earth Sciences "Geosciences for Society" will be held in Pisa, September 16-18, 2013.

The Forum is focused on the role that the Geosciences have, and wish to have, in serving the needs of the public, and in supplying necessary knowledge to plan the balanced and sustainable development of the Country.

The hope for this Forum is that focusing on these issues will promote effective and high quality discussions among members of the scientific community, interdisciplinary approaches, synergy among complementary disciplines, as well as productive cooperation between geoscience professionals and scientific researchers from both private and public institutions.

Thematic workshops are scheduled during the days before and following the Forum.
